Pre-Approved Trainings
WCSAP provides training approval for training events related
to the provision of sexual assault services. The following training events
are pre-approved by WCSAP.
- Any training provided, sponsored, or co-sponsored by WCSAP
- WCSAP Annual Conference
- OCVA
(Office of Crime Victim Advocacy) Annual Conference
- Children’s Justice Annual Conference
- APSAC Annual Conference
(American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children)
- The National Child Traumatic Stress Network Learning Center for Child and Adolescent Trauma http://learn.nctsn.org/course/category.php?id=3. The NCCTS is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The NCCTS maintains responsibility for the program and its content. This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW Provider #: 886476741) for 1.5 continuing education contact hours per 1.5 hour presentation. We have also been approved by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA counselors, social workers, and MFTs).
- Conferences provided by any organization identified as a statewide
or national coalition against sexual assault, or sexual assault and
domestic violence.
- For the purposes of Office of Crime Victims Advocacy (OCVA) accreditation,
any professional in-service or continuing education workshop provided
or sponsored by an OCVA accredited community sexual assault program
(CSAP) is recognized by OCVA as an approved training, and meets their
standards for ongoing training. It is not necessary to submit applications
to WCSAP for approval of a training provided or sponsored by a CSAP.
